2x2 Doctrine... written by a 2x2 Finally... a 2x2 has written down their version of 2x2 doctrine and posted it on TMB. Here's my effort toward a sincere and honest assessment of the majority view within the Fellowship regarding key doctrines. God
Scripture
Sin
Sacraments
Church practice
Salvation
This is my honest and heartfelt assessment of what is a majority opinion from my experience. Obviously there are exceptions, and I do not promise that this account is accurate in all places, at all times. - GIC It should be noted that this article is not representative of the views of the author. The author himself has many times expressed beliefs which are contrary to mainstream 2x2 teaching. This article was an attempt to put into writing, as he stated, "the majority view within the Fellowship," and now it is up to the wolves in 2x2 clothing to denounce his work for fear that somebody might think that their beliefs do not line up with the Bible... which is the primary reason the 2x2 church has avoided writing down their beliefs all this time. If that is their fear, then the above author is to be commended for shining some light into one of the biggest things 2x2s don't talk about... their beliefs. What a concept! But one must wonder. What happened to "workers go out in pairs?" How else did they come to be called the 2x2 church if it weren't for the so-called requirement of ministers going out "two and two?" Is the author suggesting by omission that the majority of the 2x2 church does not believe in such a requirement? The author obviously missed this one. The majority of 2x2s believe that workers must go out in pairs and that church can only be held in someone's home; and that's why they are the ONE TRUE CHURCH. D'uh...
