Clinton v3.0

Filed under: The Point — admin @ 11:14 pm

Ok, so B. Hussein Obama is going to be our next POTUS.  Whoopie-doo.  He ran on a campaign of “change” but apparently he’s delivering Clinton’s 3rd term.  He’s already appointed some Clinton hacks to senior positions and is considering H. Rodham Clinton for Secretary of State (3rd in line to the presidency).  If that happens, I truly hope that the Secret Service keeps Vince Foster foremost in their minds…  unless they want a new boss.

Guzzle guzzle guzzle

Since there is no rule that says I have to write about the 2×2 church and nothing but the 2×2 church (rules? We don’t need no stinking rules!) I thought I’d plop down and scribe some goings-on about the fuel prices. It was only a couple of months ago that we were paying over $4.00 (USD) per gallon, and now here we are… less than half that price now. Imagine if our groceries did that, too.

Since I travel quite a bit, I’m a sucker for a good deal. With the latest in internet technology, you can plan your trip in more ways than one. Seriously. Check this out.

  1. Map your drive. Go to Google Maps and put in your point of origin and destination. Google will deliver your driving directions as well as give you the ability to see your route as viewed from outer space. How cool is that?
  2. Gas prices. What? I can plan my gas prices as well? Sort of. Let’s say you know where you’re going, but you don’t want to drive around looking for the gas station with the best prices. You can do a little web surfing ahead of time and find the best fuel prices online. I use www.gasbuddy.com as my fuel planner. Check it out!

There are a myriad of other resources out there on the “evil internet,” so get out there and try them out.

Living the Lie

Filed under: The Point — admin @ 2:04 am

Questions to ponder for today…

  • Why do people continue to live the lie after they learn the “truth about the truth?”
  • Is it possible to be addicted to a church?
  • How many lies are necessary to make the first lie true?
  • When will the 2×2s stop lying about their church? In 1 year? In 5 years? Never?
  • If never, how long will you stay in it?

To any who might idolize their church

Filed under: The Point — admin @ 10:17 am

Do you idolize your church?

Think about this question for a moment. Regardless of which church you attend, do you idolize it? Notice that the question doesn’t ask if you idolize your church building, it asks if you idolize your church. There is a difference.

If you come to the realization that you are a church idolizer, think about what got you to that point. Were you taught to idolize your church? Who taught you to do so? Who taught them?

Introducing… The Point . . . Please “Get to it”

Filed under: The Point — admin @ 11:47 pm

All too often I am sent materials that people think would make good content for the TLT website. Normally I don’t accept unsolicited content. Also, the focus of the TLT website isn’t so much about the historical aspect of 2×2ism, which is precisely what the TTT websiteis about. Although the title of this site would imply that TLT would be strictly about the lies perpetrated by the 2×2 church, there are too many areas of interest that need to be brought out into the light.

One of my favorite projects on the TLT site is the Quotes section. When that section was first online, the quotes were posted on static pages, with one HTML file per category. Trust me when I say it was a pain to manage. Now the quotes are saved to a database and inserted into the website depending on the user’s input. It makes management far easier, and new quotes can be added much faster now without having to re-write a single page of HTML.

Continuing in this vein of fast management, I pondered the need for speed in posting new content. I’m always faced with putting a new idea, or a page, or a whatever, on TLT, but it isn’t always something that would easily fit into the present static setup of the sections. Or, sometimes I just want to sit down and blurb (if that’s a verb) without worrying about page structure, links, and all the other little PITAs that come with HTML.

So… introducing “The Point,” a new blog on the TLT website. Quite often I just want to get to the point without editing TLT itself. So here we are… at The Point. I hope you “Get to it”
